We'll Soon Be Open for Business in the World's
Largest Country!

That's right, WorldVentures will soon be officially open for business in Russia! The day so many of you have been waiting for is finally here. Next week marks the official transition from pre-launch to soft launch status. That means you'll be able to officially sign new recruits up with the Representative Business System (RBS) or as a DreamTrips Life International Member in Russia! And for those of you who have participated in the pre-launch, you may now upgrade to become an official consultant and DreamTrips Life International Member with WorldVentures. Welcome to the family!

And with the soft launch getting closer, we wanted to share a few interesting facts to really stir your interest in this fascinating country:

  • Russia, the largest country in the world, spans 11 time zones across two continents (Europe and Asia) and is home to over 1 billion people.
  • The Russian landscape varies from desert to frozen coastline, tall mountains to giant marshes.
  • Lake Baikal, in Siberia, is one of the oldest and deepest of the world's lakes.
  • St. Petersburg is sometimes called the "Venice of the North" because of its many canals and hundreds of bridges.
  • During the last days of June, a phenomenon known as the "White Nights" can be seen in parts of Russia. It’s a time when nights remain bright because the sun doesn’t sink below the horizon.
  • Moscow’s renowned Saint Basil’s Cathedral was ordered by Ivan the Terrible (Tsar Ivan IV) to commemorate his victory over the Tatar Mongols.
  • The name "Red Square" has nothing to do with communism or with the color of many of its buildings. It actually derives from the word krasnyi, which once meant “beautiful,” and has only come to mean “red” in modern-day Russia.

Achieving MOMENTUM! in South Africa

International Events Are Taking Center Stage

Have you noticed anything on the events page in your back office? You might want to have a look, because 10 of the 11 events are international events! That's right, you've asked for more global training, and we've listened.

On top of this weekend's MOMENTUM! event in South Africa, in May, we have Regional Training Events (RTEs) in Cyprus, Malta, Israel, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, and the U.K. AND, we've announced the 2011 Millionaire Boot Camp, which is slated for Greece in July! Check your back office today to see which events are coming to your country.

Your Convention Itinerary

Not sure what you should pack for convention? Unsure of what the weather will be? Well, read on because here’s a guide to your upcoming trip to Las Vegas for the 2011 International Convention.

Plan Ahead

Thursday, registration will be open in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, just near the hotel check-in desk. Make sure you register on Thursday, because doors open bright and early (7:30 a.m.) on Friday morning. Convention officially kicks off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday and runs until roughly 5:00 p.m. You’ll have time to see some of the Vegas sights before returning at 8:00 p.m. for the awards banquet and dinner.

Saturday morning, the doors will open at 7:30 a.m. so everyone can be seated by 9:00 a.m. for the second day of convention. During Saturday’s lunch break, all of our international Reps are extended a special invitation to join members of the Executive Team and the President’s Advisory Council (PAC Team) for an exclusive International Luncheon in Champagne ballrooms Three and Four. The day wraps up around 5:00 p.m. so everyone can break out their beachwear for Saturday night’s Beach Party at 8:00 p.m.

What to Pack

Dress during convention is what we like to call “corporate casual.” By that, we mean we want you to look nice while still being comfortable. (You may even want to bring a sweater just in case the room is cold.) But we do have two parties you should be planning for: the Friday night awards banquet and the Saturday night Beach Party.

The Beach Party is pretty self-explanatory. You’ll want to pack your best floral shirts, Bermuda shorts, grass skirts, sunglasses and sandals.

The awards banquet is a Casino Royale theme, which is all about glitz and glamour. So men, you’ll want to be slipping into the sleek styles of superspy 007 or donning the dark dress of villains like Mr. White. And ladies, you’ll want to be dressing in the sweet, sophisticated styles of Miss Moneypenny or the elegant attire of any one of the legendary Bond girls.

Plus, we want you to show your national spirit! Pack those bags with flags, T-shirts, hats and all things patriotic, and wear them with pride when you walk into the 2011 International Convention.

Las Vegas Weather

Rain? What’s that? Las Vegas is a desert, and that means the skies are sunny more than 300 days a year, so bring some sunscreen if you’re planning on sightseeing. And those sunglasses you packed for the Beach Party? Those will come in handy, too. Temperatures in April can range anywhere from 78° F (26° C) to 88° F (31° C).

Sights to See

The glitz and glamour are just one side of Las Vegas, but there is so much more to do and see! Here are just a few highlights you won't want to miss:

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage lets you get up close and personal with royal White Tigers and magical White Lions in a jungle sanctuary.

Visit the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, where you will come face to face with some of the world's most fascinating creatures in North America's only predator-based aquarium. And if you're feeling really adventurous, you can actually dive with the sharks!

The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino has created a one-of-a-kind Lion Habitat, where you enter a glass tunnel to view the big cats.

Twist, loop, dive and wind through a replica of the New York City skyline on the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster at the New York New York Hotel & Casino. This ride simulates a jet fighter's barrel roll while taking you on the famous "heartline" twist.

Seeking something a little tamer? M&M;'s World next to the MGM Hotel & Casino is an interactive 28,000-square-foot, four-story monument dedicated to chocolate. This shopping complex features all sorts of one-of-a-kind gifts and souvenirs, and a free 3-D movie, I Lost My “M” in Vegas, starring RED and YELLOW.

If you've never been to convention before, THIS is the year to start. Book your flight and hotel room today, and we'll see you in Las Vegas in two weeks!
