WorldVentures Featured on Lifetime Series

Series highlights organizations that are making a difference and changing the world

DALLAS; May 22, 2017 – WorldVentures, the provider of award-winning travel club memberships, and its nonprofit foundation, WorldVentures Foundation, were recently featured on Live Life Forward, a new six-part series airing on Lifetime® Television. Live Life Forward highlights organizations that are making a difference and changing the world by encouraging today’s youth to be more effective, empathetic members of their communities. The segment aired nationally April 18 and 25 on Lifetime.

“Giving and serving are at the core of what we stand for,” Gwyneth Lloyd, Executive Director of WorldVentures Foundation said. “Children are our future, that’s why our Foundation supports sustainable programs that promote children’s health, happiness, safety and development.”

The Live Life Forward series showcases how devotion to community involvement can touch countless lives all over the world. The series promotes lasting change through dedication to social responsibility and motivates volunteers to serve others for generations to come.

The WorldVentures Foundation was honored to be featured in this series. The Foundation creates positive change for children worldwide. Today WorldVentures Foundation touches the lives of children across 30 countries and counting. Volunteers breathe life into the organization’s vision.

“We believe that in giving, we receive,” Wayne Nugent, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer at WorldVentures said. “A part of success is giving back—it’s going from success to significance. That’s why we created WorldVentures Foundation. Giving back is a strong part of our company culture.”

The Foundation’s 2017 goal is to build 17 bottle schools in Guatemala, a country with a severe and mounting garbage problem. The campaign continues WorldVentures Foundation’s impact; supporting underserved children by giving them an opportunity to receive an education. It takes 10,000 plastic bottles filled with inorganic materials (coined “eco-bricks”) to build one school. Turning one bottle into an eco-brick takes ~100 small plastic bags the size of potato chip bags, or the equivalent, and about two hours of tight hand-stuffing.
